The Home Front

We are working on a group project right now where students are researching how World War II affected different groups of Americans on the home front.

5th period will present their Newsreels on Friday.
6th and 7th periods will present on Tuesday.
1st and 2nd periods will present on Monday.

The directions are located here.

I will have the classroom open tomorrow during tutorial for any groups who want to work on their newsreels.

Seven weeks to go!

Monday!!! Only seven more weeks of school.  Today in US history 5th period will begin their Newsreels.  Four to five people will be in a group which will research and present a newsreel about the opportunities and hardships that certain groups of Americans experienced during World War II.

6th and 7th periods will be learning about the Japanese American Internment.  1st and 2nd periods learned about this on Friday.

Some additional information/documents or slides that you can catch up on if you were absent.

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! I'll be keeping you up to date on all assignments, readings, due dates, class activities, and interesting history facts as we finish out the year.

Right now we are working our way through World War II.  On Thursday 4/21 5th period will begin to learn about the home front and the Japanese Internment during the war.  You should have chapters 34 and 36 read.  Tomorrow we will begin chapter 35.
